"Suzette Says" Tip of the Day:
All like items go together. Always put “like” with “like.” For example, all socks go in one area, all music CD’s go in one area, and all lawn and garden items go in one area.

I feel embarrassed about the condition of my space, why should I let you in to see it?

  • As a professional organizer, I never judge a client's situation. I live by the motto, "never judge a person until you've walked a mile in their shoes." Please keep in mind that I am a professional and no matter how bad you feel your situation has gotten, I can assure you I've worked in a wide variety of environments. Every client's interpretation of what is "organized" versus "disorganized" is completely different.

Will you ever pressure or force me to throw away any of my belongings?

  • I would never feel comfortable pressuring or forcing someone to throw away their belongings. However, I do ask questions to aid the client in arriving at a timely and realistic answer about their belongings. I will provide a list of these questions at our first meeting.

What is your policy on confidentiality?

  • I take the confidentiality of my clients very seriously. Any and all contact and work that we do together is strictly confidential. I will never disclose your name or any of your personal information to anyone. I have worked hard to prove myself as someone my clients can trust.

Do you ever have assistants accompany you?

  • No. I can control confidentiality and customer service by working one-on-one with the client. Should the need arise for an assistant to be present (for example, moving large items, etc.), we can discuss their presence prior to the time of need.

On average, how many sessions does it take to organize my space?

  • It depends. Because all clients are different, and all clients have different organizing plans, the number of visits will vary. It often depends on the client, square footage, condition of the space, and the client's ability to make decisions about their belongings. I have also found the process moves more rapidly when clients have the time available to do assigned homework.

Do you bill by the hour, or by the project?

  • I work strictly by the hour. Please contact me to discuss my hourly rates.

What methods of payment do you accept?

  • At this time, I accept cash and checks. Please render payment at the end of each organizing session.
